Business Development Representative

About Rockpapers

Rockpapers is a live entertainment booking platform based in NW Indiana that connects venues and event planners with performing artists. We streamline the entire booking process—from discovery to contracts to payments—making live music bookings simple and professional.

The Role

We're looking for an energetic Business Development Representative to help grow our network of venues, event planners, and performers. You'll be the first point of contact for potential clients, introducing them to the Rockpapers platform and helping them understand how we can simplify their booking process.

What You'll Do

  • • Identify and reach out to venues, bars, restaurants, event planners, and promoters
  • • Conduct demos and onboard new venue partners
  • • Build relationships with performing artists and bands
  • • Meet and exceed monthly signup targets
  • • Gather feedback to help improve the platform
  • • Represent Rockpapers at industry events and networking opportunities

What We're Looking For

  • • Passion for live music and the entertainment industry
  • • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • • Self-motivated with a hunter mentality
  • • Experience in sales, hospitality, or entertainment industry preferred
  • ★ Bonus: Active or former musician — Your firsthand experience with the gigging world gives you credibility and insight when connecting with performers and venues

Computer Skills

Required:

  • • Proficient in email, web browsers, and basic internet navigation
  • • Comfortable using CRM systems and tracking leads/contacts
  • • Ability to learn and navigate new software platforms quickly
  • • Basic spreadsheet skills (Google Sheets/Excel) for tracking and reporting
  • • Familiarity with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet)

Preferred (Advanced):

  • • Experience with sales automation and outreach tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, etc.)
  • • Social media proficiency for prospecting (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook)
  • • Data analysis and reporting skills
  • • Experience with presentation software for client demos
  • • Knowledge of digital marketing concepts and lead generation strategies
  • • Familiarity with mobile apps and PWA technology
